A perfect pink smoothie that’s loaded with vitamin C!
Sometimes you just need a liquid breakfast with benefits to kick-start your morning. This easily absorbed smoothie can be customized to your liking. I love adding frozen bananas for a super-chilled summer smoothie, and if I want to make it nutrient-rich I will boost it with some greens like spinach or a favorite powdered green.
Plus the added benefits of berries give me even more reason to love this smoothie!
Health warning! This Berry Delicious Smoothie is…
Packed with vitamin C
A fat suppressant
High in antioxidants
A blood sugar regulator
Berries make everything delicious! They are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants with a host of benefits, such as regulating your metabolism and blood sugar levels. Raspberries also contain phytonutrients that help metabolize fat. Yep, they are linked to weight control because they contain raspberry ketones, which is a natural phenolic compound that can suppress the digestion and the absorption of fat. Plus, a key antioxidant in these berries block the enzyme activity that is responsible for breaking starch into simple sugar, which means fewer simple sugars are released into the blood stream. So bring on the berries!
Want to avoid chemical contamination? Go organic!Berries that are treated with high amounts of pesticides and fungicides also have a lower amount of antioxidant power.
